Borrow From Other Libraries

About Borrowing from Other Libraries

Palos Verdes Library District provides patrons with the ability to borrow materials from other library systems if those materials are not available at any of our locations. All you need is a current PVLD library card in good standing (no fines or fees on the account, and mailing address verification has been completed).

We have two ways of borrowing these materials: LINK+ (LinkPlus) and ILL (InterLibrary Loan).

Link+

LINK+ is a quick, free request service from 60+ libraries throughout California and Nevada. Books, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, and more are available to request. Requests can be made directly in the PVLD catalog and arrive between 3 and 7 days.

Worldcat

OCLC InterLibrary Loan (ILL) requests are retrieved from libraries throughout the United States for a $2.00 per search item fee. Books, microfilm, and periodical articles can be requested through OCLC WorldCat and arrive between 10 and 30 days.

LINK+ is a free service that allows library cardholders to borrow materials not available from the Palos Verdes Library District. The LINK+ catalog offers materials from over 60 participating libraries in California and Nevada and access to millions of titles.
